Hunter Data LLC (“Hunter Data,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates hunterdata.ai and related services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website, submit an inquiry through our contact form, or submit information through a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form associated with Hunter Data.
If you are a customer using Hunter Data products or services under a service agreement, that agreement and any product-specific notices may govern the processing of data in those contexts. This policy covers website visitors and business inquiries.
1. Information we collect
Information you submit. When you complete our contact or request-access form, or submit a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form associated with Hunter Data, you may provide:
- Name
- Work email address
- Company name
- Role or team
- Phone number (where requested on a LinkedIn form)
- Estimated usage or data volume
- Timeline and evaluation focus
- Message or use-case description
- Other business fields you choose to include in a LinkedIn profile or form submission
Technical and usage data. When you visit hunterdata.ai, our hosting infrastructure and analytics tools automatically receive certain connection and usage information, which may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar browser storage to operate this site. Our cookie banner controls click-event analytics. The analytics script may still receive technical connection data when the site loads, as explained in Section 4. Essential site functionality does not depend on click-event analytics consent.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry, evaluate your request, and follow up about Hunter Data products and services relevant to what you described
- To schedule demos, technical reviews, or access evaluations where appropriate
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website and our services
- To monitor for security incidents, prevent fraud, and protect the integrity of our systems
- To send marketing communications about Hunter Data where we have a lawful basis to do so — you may opt out at any time (see Section 7)
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
- In connection with a business transfer, merger, or acquisition (see Section 5)
Information submitted through a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form is used for the purpose stated in the offer associated with that form and for relevant follow-up about Hunter Data products and services. LinkedIn operates its own platform and has its own privacy policy; our use of Lead Gen Forms does not affect LinkedIn’s separate data practices.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on the following:
- Legitimate interests — responding to business inquiries, operating and securing the website, and conducting business development activities, where those interests are not overridden by your rights
- Consent — for optional click-event analytics and, where required by applicable law, for direct marketing communications
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law
- Contract — where processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into, or to perform, a contract
4. Cookies and analytics
This site uses GoDaddy’s C2 analytics service. The analytics script loads when the site loads and may receive technical connection data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited as part of that request. A cookie consent banner is presented on your first visit. Click-event analytics — tracking which elements you interact with — are controlled by that banner: if you decline, click events are not recorded. Declining does not affect the script loading or the technical connection data received by the analytics infrastructure.
To change your click-event analytics preference, you may clear this site’s local storage in your browser settings, or contact us at support@hunterdata.ai.
We use LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to collect business inquiries submitted through LinkedIn. LinkedIn operates its own analytics and tracking infrastructure when you interact with a Lead Gen Form on LinkedIn’s platform; those practices are governed by LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy. Hunter Data receives only the form submission data you provide.
5. How we share information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — we use third-party providers necessary to operate the site and handle business communications, including hosting and email delivery. These providers receive information as needed to provide those services.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hunter Data, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — if Hunter Data is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any material change in ownership or use of your personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain information submitted through our contact form and LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, evaluate your request, and conduct follow-up consistent with the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable legal obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Your choices and rights
Marketing opt-out. If you receive marketing communications from Hunter Data, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the communication or by emailing support@hunterdata.ai. Opting out of marketing does not affect our ability to respond to a service inquiry you have submitted.
Access, correction, and deletion. Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under applicable law to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to receive a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@hunterdata.ai. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Some requests may be subject to exceptions under applicable law.
Click-event analytics preferences. You may change your click-event analytics preference at any time as described in Section 4.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International processing
We are based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Applicable data protection laws may differ by location. Where required by applicable law, transfers of personal data are subject to appropriate safeguards.
10. External links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including LinkedIn and product-specific domains. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Children
Hunter Data is a business-to-business service and is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
